Beach Forest Sumie

Adventure Family Sunbeach Sumie is full of facilities where you and your family can play amid the beauty of nature to your heart’s content. Relaxation Plaza, with its huge slide; a go-cart circuit, a grass slide and insect and seashell galleries are just some examples. Beach Forest Administration Building, our central facility, includes a barbecue house and accommodations.

Sumie Family Aquarium

A cozy but elegant building houses exhibits of flora and fauna native to the Gokase River and Hyuganada. Beautifully maintained tanks and a spotlessly clean hall house exhibits of rare living things, while the view from the windows will impress and amaze you. There’s even a “touching pool” where you can touch a variety of fish. Enjoy at your leisure.

Adventure Family Sunbeach Sumie is situated in one of the most scenic areas of Nippo Kaigan Quasi-National Park, featuring a beautiful seaside beach. Centered on Sumie Seaside Beach, Adventure Family Sunbeach Sumie includes accommodations, a multi-purpose open space, tennis courts, a mini-golf, an aquarium and Beach Forest Sumie. Beach Forest Sumie features a large slide and grass slide that are popular with kids. It’s the perfect place to run and play in the great outdoors. There are also plenty of great spots for ocean fishing, making this a popular spot with anglers. Walking trails offer fascinating bird watching. There’s no end to the incredible ways to enjoy Minami no Rakuen.

Sumie Seaside Beach lies at the center of the northern part of Nippo Kaigan Quasi-National Park (also known as the Minamikitaura Coast). This sandy beach in a corner of Sunue Bay, nestled between the peninsula leading to Eboshi Reef to the south and Sumiehana to the north, has been selected as one of Japan’s “top 100 swimming spots” by the Ministry of the Environment. Its waves are some of the calmest of the beaches in Miyazaki Prefecture, washing gently across the shore at intervals.

Fully Equipped, Large-scale Dog Run

The dog run at Adventure Family Sunbeach Sumie is situated on a spacious plot surrounded by superb natural beauty close to the sea. A 1200 sqm lawn is enclosed by 156 m of fence and includes a drinking-water fountain and foot wash. Enjoy watching your dog play with others and spend time with your pet in a safe environment.
